Last week, Typhoon Morakot devastated Taiwan and Southeast Asia, causing the worst flooding and most fatalities from any storm in over 50 years. The deadly typhoon has already killed more than 500 people, while thousands more trapped or missing. Despite heavy downpours, washed out roads, and unstable terrain, relief efforts remain intense and over 30,000 people have been rescued from stranded villages.
As the Taiwanese American Student Association, we are holding a fundraiser at Rockville Yogiberry to donate money towards the relief effort. Just say “TASA” at the assigned register and Yogiberry will donate 20% of all sales! We will also have a donation box in front for additional donations.
Relax from the hot summer heat, enjoy a cold froyo treat, meet new people, and help support the relief efforts in Taiwan!
